A Wall Connector, also known as a wall tie, is a simple yet important bracket used to anchor a rack to the building’s wall. Its purpose is to provide additional stability to the racking structure and reduce the risk of tipping, particularly in warehouses where there are single, free-standing rows of racking. Without this connection, tall racks that are not braced on both sides can become unstable over time, especially under heavy loading or when subjected to operational movement inside the warehouse.

How are they Useful?
- Wall connectors are particularly useful in single-row installations where the racks are exposed to swaying. By fastening the top portion of the rack frame to the vertical wall of the building, they create an additional support point that keeps the rack steady. Apart from stability, wall connectors also help maintain a consistent spacing between the rack and the wall, as they can be set to a specific length, ensuring a uniform gap throughout the row.
Where are they Installed?
- They are installed at the top of each frame by anchoring one end to the upright of the rack and the other end to the wall. Installation is required on every frame that runs along the wall to make sure the entire row is evenly supported.
Important:
- In terms of safety, wall connectors become critical when the rack height reaches 4,500 mm or more. At this height and above, the risk of tipping is greater, making wall anchoring mandatory wherever the racks are wall-mounted.
How Many Wall Connectors do you need?
- As for the number of wall connectors required, one connector is needed for every frame positioned by the wall. This ensures that the entire length of the row is securely anchored and stable during use.
What will I get in my order?
- Each wall connector is supplied unassembled, along with all components required to complete the unit in the quantity ordered. The package includes all necessary hardware and fasteners for installation (if any). In addition, a warranty notice, a user manual, and a safety and inspection manual are provided with every order. No extra items or hardware is provided.
- Installation support — Should you require assistance, our team is available to guide you through the installation process. Simply contact us, and we will respond at the earliest convenience.
What is not included in my order?
- Please note that no PPE or safety gear is included with this product. Tools required for assembly, such as hammers or spanners, are not provided. Any components or accessories shown in the product images are for illustration purposes only and are not part of the order. Items not specifically listed above are not included. No extra hardware or other components are provided.
- Additionally, when placing an order for racks through the configurator, wall connectors are not automatically provided. They must be added to your order separately.
The installation of a single connector typically requires 2 people and takes approximately 5-10 minutes. With experience, the mounting time can be reduced further.
