A Welded Panel Support Bar runs perpendicularly between the horizontal beams of the Storix PalletMax Rack. Unlike pallet support bars, these are specifically designed to provide stability and safety for panels used in conjunction with pallet racks.
- How are they Useful?
- While pallet racks generally do not require panels, certain applications benefit from their use to maximise rack utilisation. For example, if the rack depth is 1000 mm and the pallet size is 600 mm (L) × 1200 mm (D), two pallets can be stored one behind the other. In such cases, pallet support bars are not effective, and panels — such as 4B Panels — are more suitable. To safely support these panels, Welded Panel Support Bars are essential.
- How Many Welded Panel Support Bars do you need?
- The required number depends entirely on the load per level. For instance:
- 1000 kg per level → 3 support bars (because 1 bar can carry upto 400Kgs, so 3 bars can carry 1200Kgs. 2 bars would carry less than 1000Kgs i.e. 800Kgs only, hence you should have 3 bars )
- 1500 kg per level → 4 support bars, etc.
- Where are they Installed?
- They are fixed directly across the beams, perpendicular to the rack depth, providing a firm base for the panels.
- Important:
- Â Storix PalletMax racks use two types of panels: 4B Panels and 6B Panels. For 4B Panels, the use of Welded Panel Support Bars is mandatory.
- Each bar is designed to carry a maximum load of 400 kg, which should be factored into load planning.
